Speech at Convocation June 2019

All Praise belongs to Allah , the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and greetings be upon our Master, Muhammad al-Mustafa,  and upon his immaculate household, chosen companions, and those who follow them well, until the day of the Judgement. 

I welcome you honorable guests and I ask Almighty and Merciful God to bless this collective effort and make it an effective step towards happiness of muslims. "Surely He Listens and responds".

I can tell you that this is one of the best parts of my job, to participate in this joyful, momentous occasion. This day is about Our graduates and what you’ve achieved through hard work, determination, and moments of creative inspiration. You are real achievers today because graduating from MAM is not an easy task for her following standards strictly.

It is my honor to welcome each and every one of you to our graduation. I know, it’s been full of twists and turns and marked by countless challenges to overcome, but you all did it today! Congratulations all graduates. This is MAM third Convocation in its nature first being held at N Heban’dhoo, Second was done at N Landhoo.

Today, I welcome and congratulate all parents and families of graduates because they have really made some sacrifices in favor of graduates to make their dreams come true. I am also excited to share this graduation celebration with all ORC managers and lecturers for your love, care and tremendous support in the provision of Higher Education with in Higher Education Ethics, something we rarely see today!

Like teachers, MAM, we also ensure the success of our students, open platforms to acknowledge and celebrate success. You all today have become vibrant part of MAM community. When you become vibrant part of MAM, we always ensure, your education follow three attributes: Affordability: Quality & Innovation. 

Today we desire to leave you not only with knowledge, but compassion and ambition. Your hearts could be kind enough to embrace the humanity with powerful means of education. MAM determines to produce graduates who can make a visible difference.  

We at MAM , work  very hard to transfer knowledge and skills by an excellent education system which is systematic and ethical.

To borrow the words of the late Nelson Mandela, “A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.”

I feel , Graduation is a time to imagine your future and the world to come. Let your past be shrouded not with mystery but with history and focus on the GREAT FUTURE! Simply the future is waiting for you!  When you think of the road ahead, you may gain perspective by looking back to where you’ve been. You need to connect dots in life. You need to create a better world!

Tonight , MAM Alumni (we call MCC – Maritime Academy of Maldives Cooperative Club)  will be officially inaugurating & with this we will continue our efforts to engage with you as alumni as you travel forward to new adventures. We will be always connected!

We are indebted to students who have travelled from islands with their loved ones to participate in this moment, we are thankful to ORC Managers & Lecturers for their share in creating this success overcoming all challenges faced. We value the services of MAM and MAMBS team.

Let me not forget, the presence of our Honorable Chief Guest. Thank you, sir, for gracing this momentous convocation. Thank you, all guests, sparing time with us to share the warmth of Joy!

May Allah SWT guide us in the right path and increase our wisdom & knowledge. May Allah SWT leave His Blessings on our work and on our institution. May Allah SWT keep all of us in the good health & let us not to be included in the wrongdoers. Aaameen!
